Julie Barth focuses on the preservation of historical integrity and original materials of the painting.

Before any treatment begins, an examination of the materials will be held to determine the alterations of the paintings, to give the right diagnostic and to choose the appropriate treatment.

Paintings are treated at the studio or on site, according to the objectives or the conditions (large paintings, insurance value, exhibitions…).

Work is performed on all aspects of painting conservation on a wide variety of paintings from Old Masters to Contemporary, paintings on canvas or wood, small and large sizes. Due to the size or the component materials, mural paintings or frames are treated by other specialists.
